Football and Cheer Coaches Still Needed!

LYFA is on the lookout for Football coaches, Cheer coaches and Business Mangers! Our teams must be fully formed up by the end of July and Cheer Coach Certifications begin in June. This is the perfect opportunity to volunteer in your local community and participate in youth sports with your children!

Coaching Experience NOT required! We have clinics and camps, and many seasoned coaches within our organization to help you along. Without you, and without volunteers, LYFA will not work. Please stop by the registration desk at our Mayy 19th to inquire. Or download a coaching application (Under the "Volunteers" Tab on our home page) and bring it to our next registration event.

ALA Cheer Camp

Arizona Lutheran Academy is hosting a cheer camp between Monday June 25th and Wednesday June 27th.  All sessions will be from 5:30pm to 8:00pm each evening.  Registration is $35 and must be in by June 15th.

2012 Spring Football And Cheer Mini Camp!

Saturday, May 19th! will be our next Mini Camp and registration event


We will be hosting a football drills and cheerleading camp at Trailside Point Elementary School on Saturday May 19th.  This camp is FREE for all participants.  You do NOT have to be registered for the 2012 season to participate.  We will be holding a registration during the camp as well.

All participants must have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian.  If your child will be dropped off by someone other than a parent or guardian you can download a waiver form here.

We ask that along with the waiver that all children also bring:

  • Water or sports drink
  • Cleats (Football) or Tennis shoes (Cheer)
  • Comfortable shorts (NO Denim)
  • Jersey or T-Shirt

Time: 8am to 10:30am

Location: Trailside Point Elementary

Registration packets are available on this web site under the "2012 Registration Forms" link.  2012 registration pricing will as follows until May 20th, then rates go up again:

Tackle: $255

Flag: $175

Cheer: $200

All pricing includes Equipment Fees, Association Fees, and a $25 refundable Volunteer Deposit.  No hidden costs and no mandatory fundraising.  These prices will be good until May 20th.

About Us

The Laveen Youth Football Association is a Kids First organization offering tackle and flag football and cheerleading in Laveen, Tolleson, and Southwest Phoenix.

Our borders include zip codes of 85339, 85041, 85043 and 85353.

The association began in 2007 providing a much-needed option for youth sports in Laveen.  In the last three seasons we have increased our player and cheerleader enrollment, increased the number of board members and increased the number of parents/volunteers.

For the 2012 season we partnered with Phoenix AYF and are again anticipating a great experience for all involved with even more families!

We look forward to many years of providing a positive sports experience for the families of Laveen, Tolleson, and Southwest Phoenix.
